Ponder (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is a personal daily devotional app published by JRV Solutions, based in Victoria, Australia. This policy explains what information the app collects, why, and the choices you have. We keep the app’s data footprint deliberately small.

We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, health data, financial information, or advertising identifiers. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.
To prepare your daily entries and any on-demand syntheses, relevant parts of your content — such as a thread’s title, recent notes, and the scripture references already shown — are sent to a third-party artificial intelligence provider (Anthropic, which operates the Claude API) purely to generate reflection text. This processing happens on our servers, never directly from your device, and the resulting text is returned and stored with your entry. Your content is not used by that provider to train its models. Scripture text itself comes from the World English Bible, a public-domain translation stored in our own database, and is never generated or altered by the AI.
Ponder is a paid subscription with a free trial. We never see or handle your payment details. All payments are processed by Apple or Google under their own terms and privacy policies; card numbers and billing information go to them, not to us.
To know whether your subscription is active, we use RevenueCat, a subscription management service. RevenueCat receives your anonymous account identifier and the purchase receipt issued by the app store, and tells our servers whether your entitlement is currently valid. We store only that result — active or not, and an expiry date. Cancelling does not remove your journal; your written content stays in your account and can be exported from within the app at any time, including after your subscription ends.
Your account and content are stored using Supabase, a hosted database and authentication provider, on infrastructure operated on our behalf. Data is encrypted in transit. Access is restricted to your own account through row-level security.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising or marketing. Data is shared only with the service providers named above — Supabase for storage and authentication, Anthropic for content generation, and RevenueCat together with Apple or Google for subscription processing — strictly to operate the app’s features.
You can export everything you have written from within the app at any time (Settings → “Export my journal”). To have specific threads or notes removed, or to delete your account and all associated content, see how to delete your account and data, or email antonio.ramos.jr@gmail.com; we will action deletion requests within a reasonable period. If you never provide an email address, your content remains tied only to the anonymous identifier on your device.
Ponder is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Because devotional text is generated by AI, the app includes a reporting control on every entry and synthesis. If content is offensive, inappropriate, or otherwise concerning, you can report it from within the app. Reports are stored so we can review and improve the experience.
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above and, where appropriate, communicated in the app.
